Southend SEND Independent Forum (SSIF) invite parent carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to their first seminar of the year.
‘Early identification of SEND in schools and the support that is on offer’ is part of a series of valuable and informative events for parent carers that will run throughout the year.
About the event
This seminar is aimed at parent carers who are at their start of their SEND journey and who are looking for answers and support.
We have invited a panel of professionals from the Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) Team, Health and Social Care, who will talk about SEND identification and support in schools, when an education health and care needs assessment (EHCNA) is needed, and bust some common myths.
We will be asking parent carers to submit any questions for the panel in advance, by email, by midnight on Wednesday 21st February 2024. There will also be an opportunity for people to participate in our co-produc
