SSIF Wellbeing Event for SEND Parent Carers - Strategies to improve your own wellbeing in collaboration with N.O.W's The Time for Change.

N.O.W's the time for change (National Online Wellbeing Services) working with SEND families across Southend, Essex & Thurrock are health based and therapeutic coaches who facilitate life changing tools and techniques from a natural and holistic approach to improve stress, emotional wellbeing and mental health.


SSIF have partnered with N.O.W's the time for change to provide a FREE wellbeing event for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND living in Southend following the success of a similar event last year.


If you are curious about how to improve your own wellbeing this event will be perfect for you to learn more about how to support your mind body & energy.


Breakfast, refreshments and a light lunch will be provided for attendees.


Wellbeing goody bags for participants will be given on the day.



Please be aware this is an adult only event - children and babies are sadly not permitted to this event.

Southend SEND Independent Forum (SSIF) invite parent carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to their first seminar of the year. ‘Early identification of SEND in schools and the support that is on offer’ is part of a series of valuable and informative events for parent carers that will run throughout the year. About the event This seminar is aimed at parent carers who are at their start of their SEND journey and who are looking for answers and support. We have invited a panel of professionals from the Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) Team, Health and Social Care, who will talk about SEND identification and support in schools, when an education health and care needs assessment (EHCNA) is needed, and bust some common myths. We will be asking parent carers to submit any questions for the panel in advance, by email, by midnight on Wednesday 21st February 2024.
